When placing a tasking order, you don’t have to worry about choosing a product type – just focus on the dates you need, and our system automatically selects the best option for you!
Each product type has its own pricing uplift and specific validation rules, which help ensure that your order meets operational constraints.
Let’s break down what each product type means and the key validations that apply.
What Are Tasking Products?
Tasking products are simply the different options we offer for capturing new imagery. They are designed to match your timing needs and ensure you get your images on schedule. Based on the capture window you select (the time between your chosen start and end dates), our system will automatically determine the right product type and apply any necessary price adjustments.
Here’s a quick look at the four main types:

Flexible Tasking:
Ideal when you have a wide capture window (7 days or more). This option comes with no additional price uplift. -
Expedited Tasking:
Designed for tighter deadlines where the capture window is between 3 and 6 days. This option incurs a 25% price uplift. -
Critical Tasking:
Used when you need imagery urgently with a capture window of exactly 2 days. A 40% price uplift is applied in this case. -
Assured Tasking:
Allows you to select a specific capture date, with the condition that the chosen date must be at least 7 days from the order placement. This is our premium option with about a 50% price uplift.

How It Works
- Set Your Capture Window:
Simply choose the start and end dates. Make sure:- Your start date is at least 24 hours after your order is placed except for assured date capture, in which case it should be at least 7 days from the order placement date.
- Your window fits within our allowed limits.
- Automatic Product Selection:
Based on the duration you choose, our system calculates the best product type for your needs and applies any associated price adjustments automatically.
