TCARI (Transformed Chlorophyll Absorption Ratio Index)

The Transformed Chlorophyll Absorption Ratio Index (TCARI) is a chlorophyll‑sensitive index designed to reduce the influence of leaf structure and non‑uniform illumination on the chlorophyll absorption signal. By transforming the basic chlorophyll absorption ratio concept, TCARI enhances sensitivity to chlorophyll variations while minimizing confounding effects from canopy geometry and background, supporting more reliable pigment and stress mapping.
